- Tennis, walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding, mountain biking, mountaineering.
- The renowned El Saler golf course is 45 minutes drive away.
- Pla de Corrals village (2-3 minutes walk from Casa Amarilla) has two bars/restaurants – one opening lunchtimes (with an excellent menu-del-d ia at 7.50 Euros, including wine/beer) and Saturday evenings, the other opening lunchtimes and evenings.
- The nearest town is Barxeta [website is Valenciano or Castellano only] (3 km) which has 3 small supermarkets, 2 butchers, bank and a number of bars and restaurants.
- The larger and historic city of Xátiva is only 7km away. Xátiva is dominated by views of its ancient castle and is also where the infamous Borgia family originated. Guided historic tours are available to make the most of this wonderful town. Eating out is very good value both at lunchtime and evenings.
- Vallada is about 30 minutes from Pla. There are two beautiful old churches set on a hillside, surrounded by well-tended parkland. There is a restaurant and also picnic/BQ areas plus a large swimming pool which is open during summer months. A good day out.
- Valencia City, with the Americas Cup port, L'Oceanográfic (one of the worlds largest Aquaria) and the truly awesome City of Arts and Sciences with its fantastic architecture - and of course wonderful shopping - is only an hour’s drive away and can also be reached by an excellent train service (two trains per hour) from a nearby town.
- A beautiful drive over the mountains takes you to the fantastic blue flag beaches of Tavernes and Cullera (about 25 to 35 minutes away by car.)
- Gandia, a busy town with a magnificent beach and promenade, is also about 25 minutes drive.
- Visit the village of Bocairent built on the side of hill, with Moorish caves. Go to the rock pools at Pou Clar where the water is cold even in the heat of August.
- Fiestas are a major part of Spanish life and can be enjoyed all the year round.

Dining at Casa Amarilla
After a long day sightseeing, sun-bathing and swimming, how about treating yourself to one of Linda and Graham’s freshly prepared special dinners. Each dish is served, piping hot, on your terrace at a time to suit you. Dishes are changed regularly, but a sample menu is:
