The Garden Room

The Garden Apartment’s master bedroom has been designed to be a romantic haven from the heat of the Spanish summer and the interior feels like an extension of the garden with a tranquil pale pink and white décor.

French Windows open directly onto the enclosed arched Naya (covered terrace) with a further fully open-air terrace a step away.

The coordinated furnishings of the Garden Room have been tastefully chosen to suit the room resulting in a spacious yet romantic setting. The king size double bed is simply beautiful with a white enamelled ironwork frame and brass fittings below a white canopy.

An unusual feature in the room is the circular window (seen left) allowing air and light to fill the room while removing any glare from the Spanish sun. Step through the French windows onto a ‘naya’ (covered terrace) and the theme is continued with white wicker furniture where you can relax and breathe in the mountain air and the amazing scenery. An open terrace adjoins the naya for sun-worshippers or al-fresco dining in the evening.

The Water Room

This room has ‘history’ - When the casa was originally built this was the water store for the house. It has now been lovingly re-designed to form a bedroom that continues the water theme. Decorated in pale blue, white and yellow it has a king size double bed that can be arranged as two single beds if required.

French windows lead onto the ‘naya’ that is shared with the Garden Room.

The Lounge

‘Spacious’ - an oft misused word is in this case extremely apt - no other word could describe the Lounge area. A very large room with two comfortable settees giving more than ample provision for relaxing yet the room feels uncluttered. A wood burning stove provides additional atmosphere (and no little heat in the Autumn and Winter!) with Television and Music System on hand.

The double front door (seen right) opens directly into the Lounge providing additional access to the extensive gardens

The Kitchen

Entered from the Lounge, the Kitchen is fully appointed with oven, ceramic hob, extractor, sink, fridge (with freezer compartment) and dishwasher. Also in the Kitchen is a large Dining Area suitable for up to 8 people.

A surprising feature is the use of natural light - due to its construction the kitchen has no windows however two hi-tech ‘Light Pipes’ supply an abundance of natural light, as can clearly be seen in the left photo (there are no ceiling lights turned on!).

The Pool Area (shared with the Owners)

The pool and its surrounding terrace are enclosed by low walls providing a genuine sun trap but with shaded areas. Sun-loungers and table/chairs are provided for guests. The pool itself has a near constant depth of 1.5m.

Immediately adjacent to the pool is a raised terrace, a small covered bar (maintained on the honour bar system) and the Summer Kitchen with full Laundry facilities, Barbeque and traditional wood fired Pizza Oven

The Gardens

As befits its name, the Garden Apartment is surrounded by Casa Amarilla's gardens. The front garden benefits from a circular patio complete with dining table and chairs perfectly suited for dining 'Al Fresco' or simply relaxing over a cold drink.

To the side of the apartment - directly accessed from both bedrooms - a private terrace and naya (covered terrace) lead to the beautiful mediterranean garden.

Half-hidden behind the bar area is the Sundial Garden - this secluded area is a haven of quiet yet only a few steps away from the pool.

Visitors can also step straight into Casa Amarilla's rear gardens.
