Welcome to Casa Amarilla

Situated against a stunning mountain backdrop Casa Amarilla sits in over 4000 m² of its own grounds. The terraced gardens lie behind an arched gateway and are a mix of fruit tree (grapefruit, orange, fig, nespero, nectarine, grape vine, raspberries and, of course, olives), shrub and flower beds.

There are two luxury self-contained apartments at Casa Amarilla

The whole villa (5 bedrooms/4 bathrooms/2 kitchens) may be used by larger families or groups [sleeps a maximum of 11 people] as there is an integral staircase (with lockable door) connecting the two apartments.

The pool (shared by guests from both apartments) and its surrounding terraces are enclosed by low walls providing a genuine sun trap, but with shaded areas. Sun-loungers and table/chairs are provided for guests. The pool itself has a near constant depth of 1.5m.

There is also a small covered bar and a summer kitchen with full laundry facilities, barbeque and traditional wood fired pizza oven.  There is also a second portable BBQ in the lower gardens exclusively for guest use.

We provide a free welcome pack consisting of a cut loaf (white), butter, eggs, cereal, pasteurised milk, orange juice, teabags, coffee, sugar, salt & pepper and mineral water - all you need for a good breakfast/lunch on your first day.

Bikes are available free of charge for guests who want to explore the local area.  A high chair and a cot are available for guests at no addditional charge.

Being both private and secluded Casa Amarilla is a place of great tranquility while nonetheless being wonderfully practical set as it is amidst the lovely, verdant countryside on the edge of the La Safor National Park. This area, while both convenient and friendly, is surrounded by the most spectacular scenery. Xátiva (Jativa )[see language note] and the Blue Flag beaches of La Safor are only short drives away, and the nearest golf course is only 15 minutes drive away near Simat. Whether you want to spend the day playing golf, shopping, strolling along the sand, walking, cycling or any number of other outdoor activities, Casa Amarilla is ideally located.

The nearest airport is Valencia (50 minutes drive) with Alicante a little further (90 minutes) and directions from either are easy.

Suitability

  • Both apartments have an indoor non-smoking policy although you may smoke outside the apartments.
  • No pets are allowed with the sole exception of Assistance Dogs (and then only by prior arrangement).
  • Regrettably Casa Amarilla is not suitable for wheelchair access.
  • Suitability for children - the apartments are quite child friendly but guests with young children should note:
    • There are two sets of stairs to the pool area which cannot be shut off
    • The pool does not have a shallow end having a near constant depth at around 1.5m.
    • If prospective guests find this unsuitable then we recommend the log cabins at House on the Hill which is about 5km from Casa Amarilla. These cabins have a secure gated pool area, secure grounds and no traffic being well away from the main road.

Language

Nearly all Spaniards are bi-lingual in that they speak Spanish (or more correctly, Castilian Spanish) plus a local language which in the case of our area is Valenciano (a dialect of Catalan). This can confuse visitors as road maps tend to use Castilian whereas road signs tend to be in Valenciano! Throughout this web-site we have used the Valenciano with the Castilian name in brackets e.g. Xátiva (Jativa), we hope this will be of help to you
